Solbakken camp is in close proximity to the Polar Park. We apent the night here after visiting the park. Great location with great facilities. This site was the only one with freshwater facility that was working amongst the previous few sites that we visited in the past few days with proper hose and a working tap. It also had great showering facility and a nice warm large kitchen for you to cook and chill if you would like. We were in an unfortunate situation while at the campsite and the owner drove over to the campsite to assist us. Very warm and friendly guy. Rest assured you're in good hands at this campsite! We also managed to spot some aurora last night even though weather condition was not ideal (wintry mix - snowing and raining)! Owner also made the effort to salt the roads in the morning! Thank you so much!
Host gentilissimo, struttura nuova, pulita e accogliente. La sala da pranzo è meravigliosa e la vista incantevole. Luogo stupendo per vedere l’aurora boreale e vivere un’esperienza autentica.
Chalet génial, tous ce que j’attendais sur un chalet cosy pendant ces longues nuits d’hiver en Norvège. Ce chalet peut accueillir beaucoup de monde, il est très fonctionnel et dispose de tous ce que l’on a besoin. Le responsable est très gentil et nous a appris quelques mots en Norvégien. Endroit très cosy avec petite cheminée. Vu sur le lac avec très beau balcon,et matériel à disposition ( pelle, bois, kayak …. )endroit génial pour se retrouver en pleine nature norvégienne. C’est un coup de coeur
Stayed at this beautiful campsite recently during our India to Norway ride. The situation in which we reached the place wasn’t very favourable to ride our motorcycles in Norway. We were kind of stuck due to black ice on the roads & snow on the high mountains & we knew we couldn’t ride further. We knew that we will have to send our motorcycles via transport, but then came Olea, the owner of the property. He was very concerned & worried about us, understood our situation & right from the moment we reached the property, he not only ensured that everything is comfortable for us but also started working on the exit route for us. We stayed at this beautiful campsite for 2 days, witnessed the magic of Northern Lights in -8 degrees but despite the cold the place had everything to make our stay comfortable and one of the most memorable one. Thanks Olea & all the best with your future plans.

Very nice place. Sweet owners that let us arrive late with our camper and pay in the morning.
Common rooms are very clean and well equipped with a full kitchen, many showers and toilets. 3 washing machines and 2 dryers. Free WiFi?
Location is beautiful, in the winter or the summer with boat rentals for a small price of 50NOK. (also sauna)
